Legal factions handbook · September 2026 edition

Serving the city

For whoever wears a uniform, a robe or an apron: police (LSPD), emergency services (EMS), Gobernación and DOJ, garages and businesses. How each job works on the inside and how each procedure goes. The rules are in section 6 of the rulebook; each chapter tells you which one to check.

A legal job gives you tools others don't have: opening any car, entering a home, cuffing, billing. Using them outside roleplay or for personal gain is among the most sanctioned things. See rule 6.1.6

Chapter 01

Being on duty

  • /trabajos picks your active job. When you activate it you start off duty; you go on duty at your workplace's point.
  • Job actions (cuffing, reviving, impounding, opening any car in 3 seconds) only work on duty. Off duty you are just another resident. See rule 6.1.7
  • The boss sees everyone's duty minutes and charges at the management point. LSPD and EMS have a weekly minimum. See rule 6.1.8
  • A police or EMS job cannot be combined with a criminal organization: the game doesn't allow it.

Police and robberies

Robberies require a minimum number of police, and the game counts only on-duty officers at the moment the robbery starts. Going on or off duty to enable or block a robbery is not allowed. See rule 6.1.9

Chapter 02

How to act

  • Identification: uniform or visible badge; in plain clothes, you announce yourself before acting. See rule 6.1.1
  • Force one step at a time: presence, words, physical control, less-lethal, and firearms only against a lethal threat. See rule 6.1.2
  • Reading rights before the station, always. See rule 6.1.3
  • Neutrality: with no gang over another, and what you know about them (tier, level, members) you know through roleplay. See rule 6.1.5
  • Corruption: a corrupt cop is a good character, with clear limits: nothing from dispatch, nothing from the station, no using the tools to commit crimes. See rule 6.1.6
  • Sensitive roleplay: searches and arrests are done respectfully, and the rulebook's consent rules apply in uniform too. See rule 3

Chapter 03

LSPD: ranks and tools

RankWhat they do
CadetLearns on the street, always accompanied. See rule 6.2.1
OfficerAll street work: stops, fines, arrests, chases.
SergeantRuns scenes and operations, negotiates hostages and, with no DOJ member online, signs urgent warrants.
Lieutenant · CaptainCommand. They buy gear at the station's weapon shop (the force pays, capped at $5,000 per day) and answer to the Gobernación.
  • F6: cuff, escort, put in vehicle or trunk, search, identity, licences (grant and remove), bill, impound, check a vehicle's owner, items.
  • F7 big dispatch, F10 small one; G answers a call. Alerts come from citizens (/policia, /entorno), robberies, drug sales and gunfire near a camera.
  • Radio: frequencies 1.01 to 1.05 are police-only and need the police radio.
  • The station armoury (service weapons and ammo) is used on duty.

Chapter 04

Arrest procedure

  1. Reason: a crime witnessed, a warrant or well-founded suspicion. See rule 6.2.2
  2. Subdue and cuff. The game lets you cuff from about 4.5 m even if the person's hands are not up; the rulebook requires hands up, subdued or surrendered, and being up close. See rule 2.13.1
  3. Search with a reason, taking illegal items and evidence. Respectfully, and by someone of the same gender if the person asks and one is available. See rule 6.2.5 See rule 3.8
  4. Read the rights. If they are hurt, EMS first.
  5. Charges: tell them what they are accused of and what they get under the penal code. See rule 6.2.4
  6. They accept or ask for a trial. For class A trial is mandatory: open the case in #case-files-casos. All within the maximum holding time. See rule 6.2.3
  7. Fine: invoice via F6 for the penal code total; split only if it exceeds the $50,000 per-invoice cap. See rule 6.1.10
  8. Jail: from a station cell, E. The detainee serves the time you set at Bolingbroke. The system confiscates drugs, ingredients, spray paint and all weapons and ammo, legal ones too: tell them.

If a prisoner escapes, the system doesn't send them back: you get an alert and a new chase begins.

Chapter 05

Chases, raids and operations

Chases

How many units, who does the PIT manoeuvre and when you may shoot at a vehicle is in the rulebook. See rule 6.2.6 On the other side, storing the car in the garage, switching characters or logging off to escape is sanctioned. See rule 2.7

Raids

The game lets an on-duty officer enter any home. Every entry is logged and the owner gets a notice. The home's storage chest is not opened by the system: with a warrant, the owner opens it. When a warrant is needed and when it isn't: See rule 6.2.7 See rule 6.4.3

Operations at drug spots

Spots are discovered the way anyone discovers them: through roleplay. The game doesn't allow drug sales within 40 m of an on-duty officer, and each sale may send a "suspicious sale" alert with an approximate location. How to plan an operation: See rule 6.2.8

Contract car theft (boost)

Boost contracts currently don't alert the server's police. If you see a stolen car, it is a scene like any other.

Chapter 06

Hostage negotiation

  1. Secure the perimeter and assign a negotiator.
  2. The negotiator asks what they want and how many hostages there are, and asks for proof they are OK.
  3. Agree on something concrete (time, pull-back, vehicle) and honour it.
  4. Once the deal is honoured and the hostage is released unharmed, the chase is on.

What can be granted: See rule 6.2.9. What robbers may ask for and what a fake hostage is: See rule 7.6. If you suspect an arranged hostage, play it out and report it afterwards.

Chapter 07

Fines, impound and evidence

Invoices

  • Cap per invoice: $50,000 for police, $25,000 for EMS, $30,000 for the garage and $100,000 for everyone else; $250,000 per day per issuer.
  • The system asks for confirmation (Y/N, 30 seconds) on every invoice, except fines from an on-duty officer under $50,000, which arrive directly: that is why they follow the penal code only. See rule 6.1.10
  • Unpaid: 3 days' grace, then 5% more every 24 hours, up to double. With $25,000 overdue or 3 overdue invoices the person becomes a defaulter.

Impound

  • Police and the garage tow truck impound, on duty and with the vehicle empty (8 seconds). An owned car goes to the impound lot; an unowned one is deleted. See rule 6.2.10
  • The owner gets it back for $3,000 at the lot, or $6,000 from any garage.

Evidence

Confiscated items go to the station's evidence locker, with the case number. See rule 6.2.11

Chapter 08

EMS: emergency services

  • Ranks: Jr. EMT, EMT, Sr. EMT and Supervisor.
  • F6: treat, revive (on duty, 10 seconds), escort, vehicle, identity, bill and items. Stretchers and wheelchairs, on duty only; a conscious patient accepts with Y.
  • The patient's clock: a downed person bleeds out in 10 minutes. After the first minute they can respawn at the hospital for $2,500 and lose everything they carried. Reviving them in time saves their inventory.
  • Public clinics (MRPD Doctor and On-call Doctor): treatment $2,000, getting someone up $5,000, from the bank. At the On-call Doctor you can treat yourself. They are the benchmark for EMS charges. See rule 6.3.4
  • Radio frequencies 2.01 to 2.05, with the EMS radio. Dispatch with F7/F10; downed people arrive as alerts automatically.
  • Neutrality, shootout scenes, hostages and reviving only on duty: See rule 6.3

Chapter 09

Gobernación

The city government inside the roleplay: governor or mayor and their cabinet, a mix of staff and players chosen by staff. It has a face in game and backing outside.

  • Approves special roleplay, new businesses, an organization's family change after a promotion heist, laws and penal code changes. See rule 6.4.1
  • Appoints the heads of LSPD and EMS, and those of the DOJ within its own structure; it can remove them in roleplay. See rule 6.1.11
  • Requests come by ticket on Discord, in advance. Laws are published in #anuncios.
  • It does not hand down sentences or override server rules. See rule 6.4.2

Chapter 10

DOJ: Department of Justice

The Gobernación's justice branch: judges, prosecutors, notary, registries and licences. It has no in-game tools yet (a warrants and records panel may come later): everything is tracked with a case number in #case-files-casos.

Warrants

Three kinds: raiding a home with an owner, arrest for a past crime, and searching a business or a stored vehicle. With no DOJ member online, urgent ones are signed by a sergeant or higher. See rule 6.4.3

Trials

  1. The police open the case with its number and the charges.
  2. The DOJ assigns a judge and a prosecutor; the accused brings a lawyer or gets a public defender.
  3. The prosecutor and the lawyer may negotiate the sentence beforehand.
  4. The judge hears both sides and decides: sentence, acquittal, removal of the gun licence.
  5. The police carry out the sentence (jail, fine, removing the licence with F6).

When they are mandatory and what happens if nobody holds them within 48 hours: See rule 6.4.4. Impartiality of judges and prosecutors: See rule 6.4.5

Registries and licences

  • Gun licence: the DOJ approves it; then it is bought at Ammu-Nation for $5,000, and the police can grant or remove it with F6. The permit card (Civil Registry, $300) shows whether it is REVOKED. See rule 6.4.7
  • Notary: transfers of homes and vehicles between players, and name changes. See rule 6.4.8
  • Internal affairs: complaints against officers. See rule 6.4.9

Chapter 11

Garages and businesses

Every business has a management point for the owner (the highest rank): employees, wages, till, uniforms, prices, supplies, stats and vehicles. Screenshots are in the city guide.

  • Till: whatever the business charges goes in (clean or dirty depending on the currency). Wages and supplies come out of it. See rule 6.5.1
  • Wages: by rank and per payout, with a cap per grade set by the administration (up to $1,000).
  • Garage: the on-duty mechanic brings the vehicle to the point and the customer sees the total before paying; nothing sticks if they don't accept. A single charge is capped at $60,000. See rule 6.5.2
  • Open to the public: only shops, buy points and clinics can serve without staff; everything else needs people on duty.
  • Mechanics: on duty they open any car in 3 seconds and the tow truck impounds. See rule 6.5.4
  • Laundering: the boss point can have a laundering system (moves money from the dirty till to the clean one, 70% comes out clean). Today it is off everywhere; the administration enables it. See rule 6.5.3
  • New businesses are approved by the Gobernación, by ticket.
